My name is Carolyn, and I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist for 3 years. Many people often ask me, how I got interested in massage. While in high school, I was certain I wanted to be an artist, but I can recall times when my mom would be doing dishes, and she complained of a little lower back ache, as we all have. Not knowing what I was doing, I'd go over and just rub her back, and time and time again she said it helped. Years later, when deciding what career I wanted to focus on, those memories came back. That's what I wanted to do! I wanted to help people, naturally, in a world that is constantly asking us to do more.
In 2012 I enrolled in Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy's program. There, I was trained in Swedish, Neuromuscular, and Trigger Point, and experienced Reiki, Aromatherapy, Shiatsu, and a plethora of other modalities. I had the greatest pleasure to volunteer at Pittsburgh Steeler Training Camp at St. Vincent College in the summer of 2012.
Since my graduation in 2013, I had worked at 2 corporate massage locations, but was unsatisfied with their level of care. I currently work at Wohar Chiropractic Health Center in Monesson under the talented Dr. John Wohar and Angie Danek. I have received additional training in Myofascial Techniques, as well as additional ways to work out headaches. I have recently began using and learning about essential oils through Young Living.
- Carolyn really listens to my problem areas and focuses time on them, which in turn makes me feel so much better. She is by far the Best therapist that has ever worked on me. She is why I booked one a week the entire rest of the 2015 year with her. 6/3/15
- [Carolyn] was wonderful. She made sure she worked on what I needed done, and asked me if the pressure was correct. Great massage 7/24/15
- Carolyn really worked hard to relieve my neck pain. It really was therapy, and not just a massage! 8/22/15
